Kira Barrett
Author. Consultant. Presenter.
Kira is excited to bring over 20 years PR/marketing experience to the literary industry. Prior to becoming an author, Kira built a boutique PR agency from the ground-up during the 2008 recession, acquiring over 130 high-level accounts like Diptyque, OleHenriksen, Woolite, Secret Deodorant, and Panasonic. Her focus – developing innovative publicity and social media campaigns that energized clients' brands.
A former dual-business owner, start-up consultant and social media bootcamp coach, Kira has parlayed decades of experience into working with self-published and traditionally-published authors. She has spoken and presented for SCBWI, non-profits, hotel chains, and other organizations on the topics of public relations, marketing, social media, and starting and owning a small business.
Kira holds a B.S. from the Cornell University School of Hotel Administration, where she has been a guest lecturer as well as an MFA from the Vermont College of Fine Arts.
